Nikko Stirling Gold Crown AirKing Riflescopes have been developed to enhance the growing sport of airgun hunting. Airguns that use powerful recoiled springs to release air to drive the pellet at speeds approaching .22 rimfires create tremendous recoil forces that often damage optics. The AirKing has been developed to withstand these recoil forces. Supplied complete with a strong one piece 3/8 dovetail clamp mount with recoil stop bolt The AirKing will remain accurate shot after shot.

Redesigned reticle attachment provide the Gold Crown AirKing with extra strength to handle the powerful air guns available today. Supplied with a one piece 3/8 inch dovetail mount with 3 locking lugs to ensure the scope is not vibrated loose from the air guns powerful spring release. Full Parallax adjustment from 10m to infinity by way of the objective bell ring. Low profile target turrets allow quick elevation and windage adjustment in the field. Gold Crowns are all supplied with deluxe “Flip Up” style dust covers!

For more than 40 years the Gold Crown Series has been a leader in the Nikko Stirling range. Generations of hunters have appreciated the Gold Crown quality and value. During this 40 years we have sought to constantly upgrade the features and quality of the Gold Crown series and have introduced for 2005 the 05 series which we believe will raise the standard yet again. To develop this range we have added several features that will provide even better value for hunters.

These include: Higher grade lenses for clarity - new machinery and lens technology has improved our lens quality. Improved optical coatings - Gold Crown Scopes feature a specially formulated optical coating that actually reduced the reflection of light away from the lens surface. So more light can travel through to the hunter’s eyes providing better vision in the field. Many competitors just use a colored paint on their lenses!

One piece body - providing additional strength and rigidity that will increase accuracy. Rubber adjustments - allowing a more precise adjustment in the field of the zoom ring or objective ring.

Gold Crown models have a monotube body machined from aircraft industry aluminium, with integral reticule housings for maximm strength, shock resistance and watertight sealing. The camera grade lenses are ground from top quality Japanese lens blanks and multi-coated fro brilliant luminosity. All models have constantly centred reticules with positive 1/4 minute click adjustments for windage and elevation, protected by waterproof metal caps. Eyepieces are fitted with soft neoprene rings and are adjustable for reticule focussing.

All Nikko-Stirling scopes are immersion and shock tested at the factory and are nitrogen filled to combat fogging. Gold Crown models are particularly recommended for applications calling for maximum light transmission, resistance to recoil and weather protection.
The Wide Angle Gold Crown models give 30% greater field of view than standard optics and the advanced lens coatings cut internal reflections, enhancing optical quality and giving brilliant clarity of vision even in low light conditions.

Overview of Nikko Stirling

Nikko Stirling - Optics for Sports, Since 1956 - A heritage of hunting separates Nikko Stirling from its competitors. Nikko Stirling does not produce spectacles, jewelry, cameras or microscopes. Nikko Stirling specialize only in Optics for hunting.

Nikko Stirling's philosophy is to provide the hunters or target shooters with optics they need to be successful in their sport. Since 1956 this has been Nikko Stirling's goal. Today the Nikko Stirling range is a result of the evolution of solving the challenges faced by hunters throughout the world. During 2006 Nikko Stirling was proud celebrate 50 years since its inception by Malcolm John Fuller (1924-1994).

Born in Australia, Malcolm Fuller had an early exposure to firearms and hunting on Australian farms that were abundant with wild boar, deer, goats, foxes and rabbits. This early exposure and subsequent lifelong pursuit of hunting larger game provided Malcolm Fuller with tremendous practical experience that has been a cornerstone to the development of riflescopes under the Nikko Stirling range.

Initially utilizing optics factories that were emerging in Japan in the 1950s, he founded the Stirling Scope Company Ltd in Tokyo, Japan to manufacture and export Nikko Stirling riflescopes to Europe, Africa and Australasia.

Few other makers of riflescopes can claim their origins in hunting; most are divisions of related optics factories. This distinction is particularly important in the development of today's range of Nikko Stirling riflescopes. Practical experience incorporated into Nikko Stirling's designs combined with manufacturing and component quality ensures the hunter's needs are met and satisfied.

Today the range of Nikko Stirling riflescopes offers a choice for all firearms enthusiasts. Serious hunters look to Nikko Stirling's Diamond series scopes, while new enthusiasts start out with a Mountmaster scope on their air gun or .22 rifles.
