Nightforce NXS™ 2.5-10x42mm Compact Riflescope NZ$4,331 (incl. GST)
The Nightforce 2.5-10x42 NXS™ Compact Riflescope: The Biggest, Baddest Little Scope on the Market.
There are only two ways we could improve upon the Nightforce 2.5-10 x 42 NXS™ Compact…one of our most popular, most proven riflescopes. One way is by increasing the size of the objective lens to 42mm, making it even more effective in low light. The other way is by adding new technology, additional features, and more options. We’ve done that, too. The result is a riflescope of streamlined proportions, minimal weight, and performance far beyond its size. Actually, beyond most riflescopes of any size.
Optimal low-light performance: 42mm objective maximizes light transmission without compromising overall light weight and compact profile.
Side parallax adjustment: One of the only 10x riflescopes on the market with adjustable parallax— from 25 yards to infinity.
Power Throw Level (PTL™): Instant magnification changes in a fraction of a second, even if you’re wearing gloves. Your riflescope arrives with a flush insert, which you can easily replace with the threaded PTL™ knob. Like so many Nightforce features, the PTL™ is included on our Compacts at no extra cost.

Nightforce ZeroStop™
An Instant Return To Zero. Every Time
It’s an old problem. Make a radical adjustment to your scope’s elevation settings and returning to your zero setting can be almost impossible. Other manufacturers have tried various means to solve this problem, with less than satisfactory results. The Nightforce ZeroStop™ is the solution. A solution so good, so simple and so effective, it is patented.
After sighting in your rifle, simply set the ZeroStop™, and you create a positive mechanical stopping point at your chosen zero point. Then, no matter how many elevation adjustments you make, turning the elevation knob down to the ZeroStop™ setting returns you to your original zero, completely by feel—even in total darkness or while wearing gloves. No counting clicks, no need for visual reference, no wasted effort. Just an instant return to zero. Every time.
ZeroStop™ is standard on ATACR models, The B.E.A.S.T., Competition, and most NXS models. ZeroStop is optional on 1-4, 2.5-10x32. Available in .250 MOA and .1 Mil-Radian adjustments. |

Nightforce DigIllum™
DigIllum™ digital reticle illumination technology is available in select Nightforce riflescopes. As Nightforce’s premier illumination system, Digillum increases convenience and functionality in a single button control. Choose the appropriate illumination setting for your lighting conditions—either red or green, in five intensities from very dim to extremely bright. The illumination will turn off automatically after 1 hour or can be manually turned off to extend battery life. When illumination is turned back on, it defaults to your previously chosen setting, ensuring your night vision will not be adversely affected and that you’re instantly ready for a shot. Finally, Digillum is built into the side focus control, adding no additional width or extra knobs to the scope. |

MOAR™ - 30 MOA Reticle (illuminated)
MOAR™ - 30 MOA Reticle: With 1 MOA elevation and windage markings, more accurate range finding and hold-offs are possible on smaller targets at longer ranges. Combined with a floating center crosshair, this makes for a reticle extremely fast and easy to use in the field.

|
MIL-R™ - 10 Mils Reticle (illuminated)
MIL-R™ - 10 Mils Reticle: .5 Mil and .10 Mil divisions allow for multiple zeroes, holdover, hold-under and windage adjustments without touching elevation or windage knobs. Excellent for range estimation. |

Building a Nightforce
Nightforce's journey began in 1992, in a quest to provide the ultimate in riflescopes and accessories to the hunter, the professional, and the competitive shooter.
Consider the challenges of making a Nightforce riflescope. Optically, you are creating an instrument of extreme precision, built to tolerances often finer than a human hair. It requires many of the same techniques used in the very best laboratory microscopes and in massive, delicately balanced scientific telescopes that peer deep into the heavens.
Then you’re tasked with putting these perfectly matched optics into the most compact package possible, eliminating every ounce of excess weight, and making them impervious to extreme weather conditions as well as to constant pounding from the most powerful rifle calibers over thousands of rounds. It is a huge technological challenge. Frankly, there are very few riflescope companies up to it. Fortunately, Nightforce are. |
|
Factory Testing: Before they leave the factory, Nightforce riflescopes are subjected to conditions far beyond most anything you will ever encounter in the field. During Nightforce's impact tests, riflescopes must endure repeated impacts of over 1200 Gs of force on multiple axes. After each severe impact, the riflescope is hand-checked on a collimator for tracking accuracy and overall integrity. If Nightforce can’t make it fail, chances are you can’t either.
Turrect Tracking and Consistency: If a scope manufacturer even bothers to check for turret accuracy–and many don’t–they often allow a “tolerable” error or don’t verify accuracy over the entire adjustment range. At Nightforce, “good enough” is not good enough. During the manufacturing process Nightforce inspect their scopes to ensure perfect clicks and absolute precision across the entire range of adjustment. This means that when you make a shot at any distance, regardless of how much windage or elevation adjustment you’ve made, you can trust your turrets–and your Nightforce–to deliver your shot predictably and on target. |
